AS YOU WISH

hey..... i am Bakhtawar Nageen doing my bachelors from Lahore school of economics it was very difficult for me to shift from pre- medical to this line but it was a  good step . After matric i thought it is very easy to become doctor but it is NOT...but what to do my mother wanted it...=p i love reading i can spend whole day reading i have read books of many authors like Judith Mcnaught ,Eric Segal , Danielle Steel, Umera Ahmed , Farhat Ishtiaq but my favorite is Judith through reading I get to know about of lots of things and reading is a source of awareness for me  and end of all filled my emptiness i think.. I love to watch TV , shopping and love to roam . i love to observe people through different angles . i hate sports i don't know how people watch and waste there time watching sports and worst of all get depressed by this LOL..
I have done internship in kids club and Lahore cadet school i think if we want to make Pakistan a better place we should work on a education sector we should improve standard of education and give our attention to government school because i think majority of population of Pakistan can not afford private schools .
My biggest aim is to be a csp officer through this i will do something for the welfare of  Pakistan  in future Inshallah . Pakistan has potential and if we want to do something for the betterment of it  we have to change our perception about it we should think positive and be optimist about it then we can improve and be proud of it.

From Lanterns to Lights by Muhammad Umer

A Creative Writer, A Thought Provoking Poet, A Professional Blogger, An Energetic Sportsman, An Emerging Entrepreneur and above all A PATRIOT

Born to a middle class family in a small town of Punjab i was raised in a cultural and moral stew of life. I inherited ethical values and religious norms as second nature from my forefathers. Studying in the best possible institution of a small town i dreamed of becoming a commercial pilot. Walking on the earth with my eyes scanning the skies for any plane flying over me i got to know that even the skies are not the limit. I always dreamed big and knew that i have to be the best in whatever i do.

Translating brain waves to ink has always broaden my thinking horizon and somehow helped me in becoming a better person. Showing people the glimpses of my inner world has always given me a feeling of contentment.

Rhyming the words to writing stanzas and bringing them together to make a poem has always given me an immense pleasure. This beautiful game of words has always fascinated me. Starting from some broken lines and refining them to beautiful stanzas has made me a perfectionist.

I have always wanted to channel my energy in something more purposeful and blogging provided me with the platform. New emerging technologies has always awestruck me and writing about them became my passion. I am writing technology related articles on various websites providing people with the most updated information about the latest gadgets. I am currently writing for itechbook.net.

I started of my clothing business on a very small scale and learned to survive in the most competitive environment. I always try put into practice all the things that i learn during my education at Lahore School Of Economics. My clothing company "Revolutions" is still in the initial phase but i believe that with constant hard work i would be able to put it against the biggest brands of the time.

Sports has always been one of the things that gave me true happiness. I have been an active sportsman since my school days. I loved watching and playing cricket. I participated in the Intra-LSE Badminton tournament and I am also currently playing as a fast bowler in "LSE Bandits" which is a well reputed team in LSE.

It didn't took me long to realize in order to achieve my dreams in life i have to travel the distance from Lanterns to Lights.  This road may seem a little bumpy for now but the hardships of this journey is teaching me the perseverance, new lessons and telling me that it is all worth the ending. Every setting sun whispers in my ear that i am a day shorter to my destiny. The destiny i always dreamed for, the destiny i have been working so hard for. Every rising sun tells me  that the losses of yesterday were nothing but the lessons for future. So Gear up for the new challenges which will make you a better winner in your life.

“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.” ― Robert Frost

Hello! My name is Rabia Ishaq but people call me sheikh, I am studying at ‘Lahore School of Economics’ majors in marketing. Life without activity and interest is like food without the salt.

Traveling and photography is my passion. Whenever I have an opportunity to visit a new place, whether a village, city, mountain or seaside, I never miss it. It is so thrilling to see a new place and meet different kind of people. Whenever I travel round a new place, I take my camera and shot interesting pictures of people, building, monuments, bazaar etc. It gives me immense satisfaction and pleasure. I always capture all the moments that I spend to recall myself what I was and what I am now. Traveling also educate me and refresh my mind, body and soul.  Though these hobbies are expensive, but love them.

Me, Myself and I

My name is Minahil Rana, and I’m currently a second year student in Marketing and Media at Lahore School of Economics. I love travelling, hiking, reading and art; whether it is in sketches, watercolors or photography. I have spent most of my life in Canada mainly around the greater Toronto area. I came to Pakistan almost two years ago and I really like it here except for the blistering summers. I have a few notable achievements that I am proud of. Firstly, I got accepted into all the Universities of my choice after appearing in my high schools honor roll (similar to Deans List). I even attended one university for a whole year (the campus was beautiful!). Secondly, I did a summer internship with a Toronto based Fashion Designer in which I learnt a lot about the artisans in the Classical genre of music, and best of all, I helped design their gowns. Currently I am working in AIESEC in their Outgoing Exchange department. My most recent achievement is related to AIESEC, I was chosen as Vice President Communications of an exchange campaign for 6 different universities in Lahore.  It turned out to be the best and most successful campaign that this organization has had since its inception in LUMS Lahore.

Alex, the African Grey
My cat: Spooky
I have a lot of pets, I absolutely love animals. At the moment I have 2 cats, a Guinea pig, an African Grey Parrot and various other Australian large and small birds. Animals give me a sense of calm and really like observing their behaviors.
With my current experience in Pakistan, I feel we lack community values, which is not surprising since we live in such a hierarchical, status conscious society. But I think our youth has the ability to overlook these differences and help children with disabilities, minorities and those whom suffer with poverty. In today’s Pakistan we have a hundred and one ways to help such individuals integrate into society, but we lack consciousness or motivation to do something about the prevailing issues. I have started to try and do my part as a Pakistani citizen, some weekends I go and help dyslexic children at Paidal (if anyone’s interested in helping, message me!). If everyone starts taking out 2-3 hours from their week and helps in some sort of social development initiative I believe our youth has the ability to do anything. It is then that we will strive and actually bring change to Pakistan.

A girl with dreams

A

lisha Sajjal. Definitely not named after Alisha Chinoi, the singer, and nor is Sajjal my father’s name. Sometimes stubborn, sad, irritated but usually energetic and happy. With a very eminent greeting style (hi) in Lse and helping nature I think I am a good friend indeed. People are usually curious that how I can be so lively even in early hours of the morning. So here’s the answer, everything happens for good and most vital lesson is to live and to let live. Although each one has been through every aspect of life but only few realize and learn what is being taught in every chapter. Once you realize its true aroma then nobody can stop you from being happy. At least that is what I believe. :D

Let your words be few, but your exposures many…

Photography was at all times a passion for me. I always found a deep relation between camera and life. Capturing photos is like phenomena of life in which there is lesson of focusing on what is important and capturing remarkable moments and through editing, changing the bad ones. That’s life. As pictures are developed from negatives so is life from hardships. Those sparkling eyes with smiley faces, attitudes, emotions, seasons, compassion and what not, photography has the power to entwine everything together.

Besides photography, I have great interest in Arts too. My mom used to tell me that creativity runs in the family and I realized it when I won an inter-school art competition .From there my confidence boost  up and not only in arts but I started taking interest in poetry, cooking, athletics and interior decoration. Sooner I won many races on provisional level as well as become a good cook. I wrote many poems and Ghazals. I believe habit of writing is essential at any age, it helps to express and everything depends on expression, from a simple class quiz to the catastrophes of life.

As time passed I thought of having some practical experiences too beside my superb academic record,so in 2010-2011 I did internships at Corvit Communication Company and another at Garrison Lahore Education system. They were really happy with my work in Finance, Sales and HR department. I always adore variations, life is imperfect and change is inevitable so the biggest change was when I left my accounting field after A-levels and entered in majors in marketing from Lahore School of Economics.

My belief; People of Pakistan are creative and with hard work Pakistan’s image could be improved, and the famous saying that be the change you want to see. Change can come from within us and even a small change, in a single soul could transform at least a family, a group, a city, a country and later the whole world. So it all depends on thinking, that needs to be altered, and the courage to do something. Even a very small contribution individually could revise the image of Pakistan.

Lend Me Your Ear…

As I begin to pen down about myself it seems like a tricky task. It makes me nostalgic and takes me back to the times when writing about one’s own self meant only five lines. Those were the days of innocence but today it’s a different story. I have started to realize what I am and I flabbergast myself. It’s amazing how time and experiences mould us overtime and creates a whole new being out of us.
Being the oldest child in the family I have always earned love and care from everyone around but this didn’t turn me into a spoiled little monster. My parents have raised me wonderfully and I owe them a lot. They have inculcated into me the basic ethics and morals which is a grand gift. This has made me into a person who is patient enough to deal with all sort of trouble without cracking under pressure. I love to make others happy and it just makes me contended. I love to dedicate my time and energy to social causes. I have been working with SOS village since I was eight years old, it satisfies me to help the community and bring the difference to the society even if it’s slight. I love to help others around me without the hope of any reward because I believe in karma. I have joined my grandfather’s NPO which deals in helping the underprivileged people of Pakistan. It’s a small step but I believe that every little effort eventually leads to something immense.
I enjoy cooking and experimenting with food. I often cook whenever I am low. It just boosts my mood. I plan to open up a customized cake shop after my bachelors.
I love to jot down my thoughts and my acquaintances say that I have great writing skills. I aspire and I dream for I believe that all dreams can come true sooner or later. I am very creative and imaginative. Its my aim to write books for children. I love to read novels and its been my hobby since I was five. I am very trustworthy and I often become the agony aunt. I enjoy singing and I often sing when I am with my friends or sisters. I am learning violin these days as I have longed to learn this instrument. It is something that soothes my nerves and gives me individuality. I just want to see how far I can go therefore I grab every decent opportunity that comes my way. I have recently been selected by AIESEC and I plan to go to Singapore for a global development program. It’s my wish to do something for under privileged children as it pains me to see them desperate for basic necessities.
I am shy and reserved at first but when people get to know me, I am a very comfortable person to get along with. I adore my family and my friends and can do anything to bring a spark to their life.

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Live the life you have imagined.”
